St George's Day Parade 2025
30th April 2025
On 27th April, we celebrated the patron saint of Scouting, St George. To celebrate this, we took part in a Medway wide parade with Squirrels, Cubs, Beavers, Scouts, Explorers from all warps including Air and Sea! We all followed in our sections an electric parade performance from the Sea Scout Band. All 91 sections were represented, and 7th Medway stood proud, with every section being represented from a soon-to-be squirrel at age 3, all the way up to our Explorers and young leaders.
We then took part in a service at Rochester Cathedral where we learnt about the Wyvern and the George and the Dragon Story.
All of our sections behaved impeccably, were dressed beautifully and every young person (and leader!) retook their scouting promise and once we filed out into the Rochester Castle, we all took a moment to realise the sheer size of the Scouting family we are all part of.
A huge thank you to all the young people and parents who made the effort to be part of this and represent the 7th, we are very proud of you!
Happy St. George's Day 2025!
